TAMPA, FL (TBD) – Tee Off for Tourism, presented by Visit Tampa Bay and Hillsborough County’s Hotel Motel Association (HCHMA), returns on May 7, 2021 at Saddlebrook Resort. This popular tournament is the first event in 2021 for the hospitality industry. andA portion of the proceeds goes to scholarships forHillsborough County students are enrolled in Hospitality andCulinary arts programs.

Corrada, president andCEO Visit Tampa Bay. “Investing in the future of tourism and hospitality is crucial, especially following a time when those trades were temporarily jeopardized by the pandemic.”
The annual golf tournament that has been presented by the two organizations forTECO, an Emera Company, Saddlebrook Resort, has sponsored the event for more than a decade Tampa, Topgolf Valley Bank Turner Pest Control Seminole Rock Hotel & Casino and MOSI.
“Tee off for Tourism has been a source of celebration for HCHMA and Visit Tampa Bay members to take a moment to recognize the vitality and platform that tourism and our hotel partners have meant to Tampa, Hillsborough County and the Tampa Bay community,”Bob Morrison, executive Director of HCHMA. “To be able to reinvest our proceeds to support not only our external education efforts, but also internal programs like Trends & Forecasting and the HCHMA Wage & Benefits Survey reflects the multilayered menu of services we are pleased to offer to our members and our community.”
