Swim with manatees on a unique tour at The Plantation on the Crystal River

CRYSTAL RIVER, Florida – Swimming with manatees is one of the most unique experiences you can have in Florida.

Three Sister Springs is home to the world’s largest natural manatee community. Over 700 manatees are expected in the winter months. Depending on the weather, Citrus County can see over a thousand Florida manatees at a time.

The plantation on the Crystal River offers a unique experience when it comes to being in the water with these gentle giants.

Swim alongside manatees with daily tours that depart from the Plantation Adventure Center each morning.

The tours cost $ 65 per person and include all equipment: 5mm wetsuits, mask, snorkel, towel service, hot chocolate, coffee, hot showers, and heated changing room with no parking fees.

Did I mention how great the guides were? Mark was the funniest captain and John was an exceptional instructor who taught you how to be safe while snorkeling.

The Crystal River Plantation is located on 9301 W Fort Island Trail in Crystal River. Click here for information on manatee tours.
