Sun Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters announced today that Candy Brooks has been named Florida Big Sister of the Year 2021. Sun Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters puts local youth in meaningful, lasting, and professionally supported mentoring relationships with adult volunteers who are defending their potential and helping them achieve their greatest possible future. Last year, the Sun Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters served over 1,800 youth in 10 counties. Brooks from Englewood has been mentoring her “little sister” Aaliyah since 2017. They both love kayaking, fishing, beach walks and restaurants.
