Manatee County Animal Services waived the adoption fee until February 28th

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Manatee County Animal Services (MCAS) will waive adoption fees in lieu of donating to Friends of Manatee County Animal Services (FoMCAS) for all pets from February 13-28. Adoptions include spay / neuter, microchip and rabies certification, valued at $ 300. Manatee County residents must license their new pet for an additional $ 20. At the time of going to press, MCAS has 47 dogs and 13 cats in its shelter. In 2020, MCAS admitted an average of seven animals per day; It also runs a Pet Pantry program that offers free food and supplies to pet owners faced with financial and housing needs.
