Coalition Announces Second Annual Six to Save Program

The Sarasota County’s History and Preservation Coalition has announced its second annual Sarasota Six to Save program. Much like the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s “11 Most Endangered Historic Sites” and the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation’s “11 to Save,” the Sarasota County’s conservation community aims to raise awareness of historic resources that are currently at risk. (Everything from neglect to climate change can put historic property at risk.) The organization aims to highlight six resources that are at most at risk in the hope that public awareness can bring support.

The coalition is looking for nominations for this year’s Sarasota Six to Save list. Information and nomination forms can be found on the coalition’s website. The application deadline is April 30th. The final list will be announced in May in the month of monument preservation.
